Using elements of the Story Workshop approach taught in the Fiction Writing department at Columbia College Chicago, this session will help you get that scene that's been running around in your head and onto the page. The idea will be to get some actual writing done. Instead of talking about what goes into a scene we will jump right in and tell your story moments to an audience, making connections from the oral speaking voice to the written voice. The session will be interactive, so don't be shy. Bring a journal or notebook and something to write with.
